Well, we certainly have impeccable timing on these things, don't we?
The last time we did a show - the first show of the season - we were coming off of a loss to the Ravens, although we did tape the show during the bye week. This time, obviously we just lost to the Patriots.
Another way to look at it, though, is that last time, the weekend after we did a show, the Steelers went out and beat the Browns. So, hopefully they can repeat that success this time around against the Raiders.
Either way, at least this time we fixed the lighting situation so those sensitive balls that sit in your ocular cavities shouldn't be blinded or whatever. Unfortunately, the audio is a little low this time, but the good news is, that's why they invented volume control. One of these times we'll put it all together and get our production game up. Until then, we apologize for any inconveniences and would like to once again point out that we very much appreciate any and all of you who actually make it through all 8 minutes of the show.
PS - we taped this beast last Saturday, so you'll have to excuse us for a) not being more fired up about losing to the Pats in epically horrible fashion, and b) not talking about Jeff Reed at all (though, I hope to God Shaun Suisham can make Tec's field goal frenzy prediction become a reality).
Other than that, sandwiches.
Oh yeah, and when you're done watching it here, go watch it anew at PSAMP.
What can we say? At a certain point last season, it wasn't exactly a picnic to be talking about Steelers games. And this year, well, we're busy people, man.
But we certainly didn't intend for our hiatus to be permanent, and so, we're back for the 2010 season with more rambling, stumbling over our words, and providing slightly-above-retarded level commentary about the Steelers.
Tec did an unreal job of cutting this week's show, so we hope you can otherwise excuse our rustiness, and just enjoy this first moderately-longer-than-normal show of the year.
Thanks to Matt (aka Maticulous) for the sick beats, as usual.
Thanks to Sheena Beaston for coming through big time on the camera (quality is better than ever!).
And thank you all [in advance] for watching!
Oh, and because it's the Browns, you should also watch the first 0:35 seconds of this...
And when you're done watching here, go watch it again at PSAMP!
Well, if you haven't already jumped off the Steelers bandwagon, here's Episode 10 of the [Unnamed] Steelers Pregame Show.
This week, Tec and I touch on the infamous Cincinnati Sweep, Arnold Harrison getting the axe, how many sacks Silverback will have on Matt Cassel on Sunday, whether or not it's too early to start looking at other teams schedules in anticipation of a wild card, and of course, our predictions for Steelers - Chiefs this Sunday.
PS - THIS "Use Me" t-shirt is what I was talking about in reference to Arnold Harrison. Just so you all know I didn't just make that shit up.
Also, if you haven't read the Chiefs preview yet, now's as good a time as any to remedy that...
And if you have some type of unhealthy obsession with mediocre to sub-par home made entertainment, feel free to watch it again over at PSaMP.
Anyways, this week Tec and I tackle topics including - last week's win, the glut of individual awards the Steelers were up for this week, is Troy the defensive MVP, will FWP contribute before the end of the year, whether Rashard and MeMo will be able to hold it down if [when] FWP leaves via free agency, and of course, our predictions for Sunday's game against the Bangles.
As usual, we hope you enjoy...
And if you get bored with those spreadsheets you're working on, feel free to watch it again over at PSaMP.
I'd provide commentary about this week's episode, but as I've spent a cumulative four hours or so putting together this week's Meeting People Is Easy (which will be posted early this afternoon), I'm going to have to decline.
I will, however, correct myself - in this week's show I mention that Elvis Dumervil is the only guy ahead of James Harrison in terms of sacks. Obviously that is incorrect, since Jared Allen actually has more sacks than Elvis Dumervil. So, whatever. That'll teach me not to consult an updated stats sheet that takes into account anything that happened during the Steelers bye week.
Oh well, shit happens.
Also, if you haven't already, be sure to read OFTOT's Broncos preview that we managed to post at about 5 PM yesterday, just in time for none of you to see it. Seriously, it's worth it just for the photoshop (which you should already be able to see since it's the next post right below this one).
PS - If you've got some kind of morbid obsession or something, go watch this thing again over at PSaMP.
