"Yay! We scored in offensive touchdown! Finally! Let's all flex....."

So here we are, 6-6. We know most "Steeler fans" have written off the season as a loss, and started making plans for Pirates spring training. 

We're all screaming at the top of our lungs for an answer.......... and we just can't find one.

This pretty much sums up our pain -



While we acknowledge the depth of suckitude (nope, not a word) we a currently swimming in.......we still have hope. The hope isn't because we are ignorant and don't understand football - "AH MAN THE STEELER WIN EVVVVVVERY GAME, THEY'RE THE BEST!" 

We understand how this isn't the same Steeler team as last year, and we're not among the leagues best. It's a fact - we can't hide from it. 

The reason why we have this uncontrollable optimism is because.......we've seen this scenario before. 

Win four games, have some other things happen along the way, and your in the Playoffs. 

That was the 2005 season. 

The Steelers rattled off four straight wins against the Vikings, Bears, Browns, and the Lions and march their way into the 2005 NFL playoffs, as the sixth seed.

Then this happened...... 

.....and this. 

.....then this. 

And next thing you know, the Steelers are Super Bowl Champions. 

You have the DVD, pop it in and relive the glory. 

Not to say that this is an every year occurrence but, who knows what can happen in this league. Looking at the schedule before the season started, did you really think losses would come at the hands of BOTH, the Chiefs and Raiders?!?! If you would have told us that, we would have suggested you turn in your Terrible Towel, move to Alaska, and follow the Iditarod. 

This league is so unpredictable. The next few months are up for grabs......
