![]() Well, despite the fact that the Steelers don't play again until next Monday, we're officially closing the book on the bye week. By all accounts everyone was well behaved, and Ryan Clark even got some good news (we're still not sure it's actually good news, but whatever). As far as the rest of the division goes, the Ravens emerged from their bye with a bang, spanking the previously unbeaten (and overrated) Broncos, 30-7... ![]() ...the Browns continued their campaign to redefine ineptitude (not to mention get Eric Mangina fired), dropping another game in which Derek Anderson had a QB rating of 10.5, they turned the ball over FIVE times(!) and had an extra point blocked... ![]() ... and the Bengals enjoyed a quiet bye week, except for Chad Johnson who can't take a shit without announcing it on Twitter... ![]() Elsewhere, the Titans tried lifting the "curse" by autographing the Terrible Towel they stomped on last season and sending it to Allegheny Valley School. And by all accounts, it worked, as they managed to get their first win yesterday against the Jaguars, who, it must be pointed out, had to take their last game against the Rams to OT in order to eke out a three point win. Yep, that curse must really be gone. We're sure it had nothing to do with the 228 rushing yards Chris Johnson contributed... Anyways, new week, new rules. Steve and I missed you all dearly and we're sincerely looking forward to blogging the hell out of this place this week, in anticipation of next Monday's matchup against the wounded Broncos. So shake off your swine flu, and dust off your monitor. It's week 9, kiddies. Preliminary thoughts on the Broncos after yesterday?
