Giving up 11-18 on third downs is not good. It's a win and we still have the Ravens twice and the Bengals once.

![]() The Steelers threw all the style they had at Friday night's "Steelers Style 09." Unfortunately, we can't quite say the same for this afternoon's game against the Detroit Lions. Nevertheless, there were plenty of positives in this game. Mendenhall in the 1st half was unstoppable... ![]() One costly pick six notwithstanding, Ben still threw for 277 yards and 3 TDs. Hines Ward continued to personify the nickname, "Psycho Ward," with 7 catches for 87 yards and a score... ![]() Heath Miller continued to personify the nickname, "Big Money," with 5 catches for 54 yards and a score... ![]() Silverback had THREE sacks and a forced fumble... ![]() Willie Gay had 1.5 sacks. Lamarr Woodley had 1.5 sacks. Ike Taylor had swagga... ![]() But yet again the Steelers found themselves working a lot harder than they had probably expected just to avoid a late collapse at the hands of Daunte Culpepper(!)... ![]() Thanks to the Bengals, we're now tied with the Ravens for 2nd place in the AFC North. And next week, we play Cleveland. Cleveland, in case you hadn't heard, managed to win their 1st game of the season earlier without scoring even ONE touchdown. Derek Anderson was 2 for 17 for 23 yards. We certainly like those odds. And hey, style points only count in figure skating. So let's not lose sight of the fact that in the end, the Steelers got a big win. 3-2. New week, new rules. We'll take any and all reactions in the comments. PS - Highlights for you...
